On Saturday March 16th, 9am a meeting was held at Southern Coffee (just down the road from our village) between the HOC (homeowner committee) and our property consultant K. Mem. This meeting was held to prepare for and plan the upcoming homeowner general meeting on March 23rd 4pm at the swimming pool. Many things were discussed, including the urgent need for change and improvement. It is clear that the owner is not willing to further cooperate with the owners until further payments are made. We are at an impasse. After nearly a 2 hour discussion, the following decisions were made:
- Print banners (3) to hang around the village announcing the general meeting (done)
- Retain K. Mem to visit the land office and file a formal complaint on our behalf
- Request a meeting at the land office between the village owner and the home owners
- Prepare an agenda for the upcoming meeting in the village on the 23rd (WIP)
At this time, there is sufficient speculation of why the village owner is not yet ready to establish the juristic, and handover the village to the owner.s This MAY be related to incomplete infrastructure and utilities work, which MAY require significant investment from the village owner. More meetings at the land department should shed light on the situation. Please check back here for more news.
